Animated Film

THE END

Description

An imaginative tale about a man’s mid-life crisis. Imprisoned in memories, the man of a certain age struggles to come to terms with the feeling of physical and spiritual endings.

The End is the concluding part of Kārlis Vītols’ non-narrative trilogy of animated films. Its preceding parts are The Garden of Fetish (2006, Oberhausen) and Eclipse (2010, Annecy). The End has been shown in the programes of more than fifteen film festivals in Latvia, Europe and America. The Latvian National Museum of Art has acquired the film for its collection.
